Quarterback

The Colts should be covered when it comes to quarterback play for the 2024 season. After being limited to just four games as a rookie due to injury issues, second-year stud Anthony Richardson will be back as the team's starting signal-caller, and expectations are sky high for him.

“His limited sample size that he had in those first five weeks were impressive," Colts coach Shane Steichen said of Richardson recently. "I mean, he made some plays that I’ve never seen guys make.”

Richardson is expected to be good to go for the start of the season, and it will be interesting to see just how good he can be during his sophomore campaign. Behind him, the Colts added former Super Bowl MVP and reigning NFL Comeback Player of the Year Joe Flacco.

Flacco brings a whole lot of experience and knowledge to the team, and he's eager and willing to help Richardson however he can.

"It's just about being in the room with him and a lot of conversations naturally come up when you spend so much time together in a row," Flacco said. "It's just kind of I think being able to bring the experience and being able to help him simplify things and go out there and play fast and use his skillset the way he wants to."

Flacco is about as solid as they come when it comes to backup QB play, and the Colts also have Sam Ehlinger on the roster, so it's seems somewhat unlikely that they'll look to add another quarterback with one of their seven picks.
