The Indianapolis Colts are preparing to take on the Detroit Lions, arguably the best team in the league, on Sunday, and they will need their best weapons around them. To that end, there has already been some good news; head coach Shane Steichen announced Wednesday that defensive end Tyquan Lewis is returning from injured reserve. Additionally, Anthony Richardson returned to his position as QB1 after being benched for two weeks, and promptly turned in the best performance of his career. With Richardson, the offense seemed revitalized and more productive than it had been in weeks, which will hopefully continue against the Lions.
With the return of Lewis, the defense is getting a big boost. It's not clear if he'll be back in time to play Detroit, but he was able to practice Thursday, which is a good sign. The offensive line, however, is still wracked with injuries, and has slowly been crumbling each week after having previously been the best in the league. Most recently, the Colts lost Bernhard Raimann, who did not practice Thursday. However, the Athletic's James Boyd did report that he was seen doing some individual work on the field, which could be a hopeful sign that he'll be back sooner rather than later.
Friday's practice brought a longer injury report, largely due to several players sitting out due to rest. Raimann was officially ruled out for Sunday, while Lewis is listed as questionable.
Here is the Indianapolis Colts injury report for Week 12 following Friday's practice.
