The Indianapolis Colts gradually make their way towards the top of the latest round of Power Rankings.

The past week has been great for the Indianapolis Colts. They were able to beat a rival in a primetime matchup, improve their playoff odds, and have a league-high seven players selected to the Pro Bowl.

A monumental week could be cause for celebration but Indianapolis must stay focused as its major goals are still ahead of them. Indy hasn’t secured a playoff spot yet, and they face a very tough opponent in Week 16.

In another Saturday night matchup, the Colts will take on the Arizona Cardinals. The Cardinals enter the game at 10-4 but are currently riding a two-game losing streak. They’ll be focused on Christmas night to snap this streak and Indianapolis must weather the storm to continue proving it’s one of the top teams in the NFL.

Where the Colts rank across expert Power Rankings

Indianapolis recorded a big win over a team that many regarded as one of the best in the NFL. Despite the comfortable victory, Indy didn’t make significant jumps across Power Rankings. Entering Week 15 the Colts had an average ranking of 11, this week it has improved to 9. Here’s how it breaks down across the rankings.

ESPN has Indy ranked at 10, three spots up from last week’s ranking. They commend Frank Reich for turning the team around after a slow start.

The official NFL site has Indianapolis ranked at No. 6 and feels the Colts are certified contenders, thanks to Jonathan Taylor who can carry a team.

CBS Sports and FanSided moved Indy up just one spot to No. 12 and they both expressed concerns about how much Carson Wentz can offer down the stretch.

The Ringer boosted Indianapolis up two spots to No. 6 and they’ll be able to break into the top-five with a win this weekend.

Colts’ Super Bowl odds entering Week 16

According to the odds at WynnBET, Indy enters Week 16 with +2000 odds, good for ninth-best in the NFL. That’s two spots higher than Indianapolis was last week.

The team the Colts will be playing on Saturday, the Cardinals, are one spot ahead of them with +1400 odds.

The game on Saturday should be a competitive matchup between two top teams in the NFL that are both playing for something. With the game scheduled for Christmas night, one franchise will be able to provide its fans with one last gift.
