Indianapolis returns to Lucas Oil Stadium to take on the Steelers this weekend, and Pittsburgh comes into the game as humongous favorites.

Don’t expect many NFL experts to pick the Colts to win this week as the 6-2 Steelers come into town. However, the Colts weren’t getting much love from the sports media universe before going to Houston and picking up an enormous win last week.

There’s no doubt that the Steelers are the better team in this matchup as they are favored to win by 10 points according to the odds collected by Sportsbook Review.

Pittsburgh tends to play up or down to their competition, and they don’t perform well as a big favorite.

Sportsbook Review points out that the Steelers are 9-19 against the spread when they are favored to win by more than 5.5 points on the road.

Ben Roethlisberger historically performs much better at home, which is the main reason for their struggles in these situations.

The Colts have thrived at home this season as they are 3-1 against the spread at Lucas Oil Stadium. The home crowd will undoubtedly be pumped up coming off of last week’s win with an opportunity to avenge last year’s loss to the Steelers on Thanksgiving weekend.

Pittsburgh’s bye week may have actually hurt the Steelers as they were off a big win on Sunday Night Football, and they probably won’t be taking this Colts team seriously.

I’m going to go ahead and pick the Colts to cover the 10-point spread at home due to Pittsburgh’s struggles to cover the number in these situations.
