The Indianapolis Colts made some major moves already in the offseason to work on rebuilding their defense, which was one of the worst in the league in 2024. They struggled against the run in particular, though there were also high numbers of missed tackles and yards allowed. So that meant taking drastic action, which included firing defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and hiring Lou Anarumo from the Cincinnati Bengals.
From there, Chris Ballard surprised Colts fans by actually being somewhat aggressive in free agency, signing safety Cam Bynum and cornerbacks Corey Ballentine and Charvarius Ward. Both were widely applauded by fans and analysts alike, but from there, no major roster moves have been made. It seems the Colts are looking to use the draft to fill their remaining roster holes, with tight ends Tyler Warren and Colston Loveland named as their most likely first-round picks.
However, it appears that the Colts could still end up surprising everyone, with obvious interest directed towards defensive prospects, with visits so far to Notre Dame and Ohio State. And in another update, it appears they will be hosting Eastern Carolina cornerback Shavon Revel Jr. soon.

• April 3/4: Dallas Cowboys
• April 7/8: Buffalo Bills
• April 8/9: Indianapolis Colts (includes medical re-check)
• April 12/13: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
• April 14/15: Seattle Seahawks
Revel tore his ACL last season, causing him to miss most of the season, and he underwent surgery with Dr. Daniel Cooper, the team physician for the Dallas Cowboys. Cooper sent a letter to each NFL team assuring them that Revel is medically cleared to play, but the Colts evidently want to be extra cautious.
At 6'2" and 194 pounds and 23 years old, Revel would be a good fit for Anarumo's defense. He is aggressive, confident, fast, and athletic. With Ward and Ballentine on the roster, Revel likely wouldn't get a ton of playing time in his rookie season, which could potentially give him time to learn from those superstars as opposed to throwing him in feet first. However, on the flip side, Revel may not want to play for a team that will give him a better chance at being a starter on Day 1.
