During the offseason, defensive coordinator Gus Bradley said he would make sure that Kenny Moore II would be around the ball more so that he can showcase his play-making skills. That plan was on full display in Week 9, as the Indianapolis Colts secured a 27-13 win over the Carolina Panthers.
Of those 27 points, Moore was responsible for 12, as the 2021 Pro Bowler took two interceptions to the house. Moore was able to get the best of rookie quarterback Bryce young, recording one pick-6 in the second quarter and another in the fourth quarter. Moore also added eight tackles and two pass deflections.
As he tried to steal the show, Moore’s special guests actually stole the show from him. Some of Kenny’s sisters were in attendance and they were enjoying watching their little brother put on a show.
Kenny Moore II has two pick sixes with his sisters in attendance
Moore comes from a big family, having six older sisters. On Sunday, four of his six sisters were in attendance as the Colts defeated the Panthers. Fittingly, Moore responded with a career game. Both times he reached the end zone, he made sure to point to his family.
Moore has always been open about his relationship with his family. He explained to the media that growing up, his sisters pretty much made him go play outside all the time. Also, during the year when the Colts were on the in-season Hard Knocks, Moore’s mother became a star. He gave his family a show and led Indy to a much-needed victory.
Colts pick up a Week 9 win against Panthers
Indianapolis entered Week 9 on a three-game losing streak. The strong defensive performance snapped that streak as Indy moved to 4-5. In addition to Moore’s interceptions, linebacker Segun Olubi also recorded an interception. Offensively, Indy didn’t do much and it didn’t need to, but Jonathan Taylor did add a receiving touchdown.
The Colts will now travel to Frankfurt, Germany to take on the New England Patriots, and fans are already asking Jim Irsay to fly Moore’s sisters to the game so Kenny could have another big day.
