With the 2023 NFL Draft approaching, the Indianapolis Colts are set to have several picks. Here are all the details for when Indy will be selecting.

In under two weeks, the NFL will hold the 2023 Draft. The Indianapolis Colts currently have a top five pick in the draft, so they are expected to be a major player in the three-day event. However, Indy has far more picks than just the No. 4 pick, and with Chris Ballard’s history of finding elite players after the first round, Indianapolis could be preparing to put together another great draft class.

How many picks do Colts have in the 2023 NFL Draft?

Indianapolis currently has nine total picks in the 2023 Draft. Of course, that number can grow or shrink if Indy decides to trade around. Chris Ballard has a history of trading back to acquire even more picks. But, as of now, Indy’s 2023 draft picks are as follows:

• Round 1, 4th overall
• Round 2, 35th overall
• Round 3, 79th overall (from Washington Commanders)
• Round 4, 106th overall
• Round 5, 138th overall
• Round 5, 162nd overall (from Buffalo Bills)
• Round 5, 176th overall (from Dallas Cowboys)
• Round 7, 221st overall
• Round 7, 236th overall (from Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

With these nine picks, the Colts should be able to find their quarterback, and also add to other position groups of need like cornerback and offensive line. Of course, Indianapolis is also likely to add positions like wide receiver and defensive line. Is it really a Chris Ballard draft if an edge rusher isn’t selected?

By having this many picks, Indianapolis could also use the picks if they want to trade up at any point. With all of the conversation about possibly trading up for a quarterback, the Colts could package a couple of their fifth-round picks, along with some other picks, to get a deal done. Whatever it is that Indy decides to do with the selections, it should be a productive draft for Indianapolis.
