Heading into the 2023 NFL season, there are three underrated players on the Indianapolis Colts roster that can make or break next year's team.

After a disappointing campaign in the 2022 season, the Indianapolis Colts are looking to generate improvement heading into next year. With only four wins last year, it's difficult to find a silver lining in a disheartening season.

A necessary staff overhaul transpired after the season, and newly appointed head coach Shane Steichen will look to bring more opportunities to some of the hidden gems on this Colts squad. The question is, who were those hidden gems? It's difficult to find the good in an overwhelmingly bad season, but trust me, it's there.

Let’s take a look at three Colts players who are underrated heading into the 2023 season.

3. Left tackle Bernhard Raimann

After a shaky start to his rookie season, 2022 third-round pick Bernhard Raimann finished the year strong for the Colts. The offensive line as a whole had a down year compared to recent years, but Raimann ended on a good note. The rookie allowed seven sacks through 16 games last season while facing the fourth-hardest opponents according to PFF's Timo Riske.

Raimann faced up against the likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons, and Khalil Mack, yet he still tied for the fewest pressures allowed by a rookie tackle.

With his 16 games (11 starts), Raimann is now the second-most experienced tackle on the roster, behind Braden Smith. Heading into his second year, Raimann is expected to start at left tackle for the Colts, and he’s poised for a breakout season.
