Making roster cuts isn't an easy aspect of the business for players, coaches or organizations, but it's a reality of life in the NFL. At the end of the day, only 53 players make each roster, which means that difficult decisions need to be made. That's true for every team, including the Indianapolis Colts.

With that being said, here's a look at three current Colts who probably won't make the final roster for the 2024 season.

Tyrie Cleveland, Wide Receiver

Tyrie Cleveland spent last season as a member of Indianapolis' practice squad, but he never actually appeared in a game for the Colts, and it's possible that he never will. The Colts have some decent depth at the wide receiver spot, headlined by Michael Pittman Jr. and promising youngsters Josh Downs and Alec Pierce. The possibility that they could add another receiver in the upcoming draft also exists. So, unless Cleveland really separates himself this summer, his odds of making the final 53-man roster seem low.

Marcel Dabo, Safety

Marcel Dabo has been with the Colts since 2022, but he has never appeared in a regular season game, and that's unlikely to change in 2024. if Dabo hasn't yet proven to the Colts coaches that he's deserving of some on-field opportunity it's probably not going to happen.

Indianapolis could still use some added help at the safety spot alongside Julian Blackmon, but Dabo probably isn't going to be the guy to provide the help. Don't be surprised to see the Colts draft a safety, or two, in the upcoming draft. Doing so woukld make Dabo even more expendable.

Tyler Goodson, Running back

As of now, Goodson is probably best remembered among Colts fans for his dropped pass late in Indianapolis' Week 18 loss to the Houston Texans last season. Unfortunately for him, it might remain that way.

Jonathan Taylor is projected to get the bulk of the carries for the Colts next season, and behind him the team also has Trey Sermon and Evan Hull. So, even if the Colts coaches don't hold that late-season drop against Goodson, he still seems disposable. There will be even less room for Goodson if the Colts add another back in the draft, which is a possibility.
