The Indianapolis Colts are set to take on the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, and the biggest news is Anthony Richardson. The formerly-benched quarterback has now been reinstated to QB1, a decision the locker room is evidently thrilled with.
Both the Colts and the Jets have struggled this season - the Jets more so - and Richardson, though one of the best athletes in the NFL - has struggled with accuracy. That can be directly linked to today's injury report, as for now, only one player was not able to practice: Bernhard Raimann. (Wednesday the team did not practice, but merely had a walk-through.)
Raimann was injured during the Buffalo Bills game, and the Colts' offensive line, once the best in the NFL, has been thoroughly decimated by injuries. Richardson will need as much protection as he can get, both to help give him time to make accurate passes, and for he and Jonathan Taylor both to have room to make those explosive run plays they're known for. An injured offensive line could make Richardson's first game back that much harder.
Here is the injury report following the last practice before Sunday's game.
