The 4-1 Indianapolis Colts are beginning to catch some breaks, too. Not that anyone should ever want a player to get injured (after all, they are trying to earn a living playing football), but if a key player misses a game, that is OK, too.

In Week 6, Indy takes on an Arizona Cardinals team that appeared to be improved at the beginning of the season, but has struggled in the last three games. This includes an ugly loss to the Tennessee Titans in Week 5. The Titans hadn't won a game before then.

Still, Arizona is capable of goodness. They are also capable of beating the Colts, but that might be much tougher after a recent injury update. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is dealing with a foot injury and, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, isn't practicing on Thursday.

Indianapolis Colts could be facing a Kyler Murray-less Arizona Cardinals team in Week 6

While final injury reports won't come out until Friday, Murray's absence from the game against Indianapolis seems probable. Even if he does play, he will almost certainly be limited, and being able to run well is a big part of Murray's game.

If Murray cannot play, Indy fans will be watching a familiar face try to beat their favorite team. Jacoby Brissett is Murray's backup, and Brissett played for the Colts from 2017 through 2020 and started 30 games. One thing that Brissett is far less likely to do than Murray is to turn the ball over.

Brissett might not be explosive or have the strongest arm, but he is the perfect QB2 because he can take over starting duties and not cost his team by making silly mistakes. Indianapolis's defense might limit the Cardinals' points, but the game might also be a bit of a slog.

Arizona does have a good defense, especially the front four. If running back Jonathan Taylor is limited against a good Cardinals run defense, quarterback Daniel Jones will need to lead Indy to enough points to win a low-scoring game.

Of course, maybe Kyler Murray plays, and the pace of the game changes. Either way, the Indianapolis Colts are likely the better team overall and should come out of Week 6 with a 5-1 record.
