With OTAs beginning, we can finally start really diving into some off-season content for the Indianapolis Colts. The schedule was released last month, and voluntary OTAs around the league have begun. The hype is starting to build for the 2025 season. Let's go week by week, and predict where the Colts will finish this season. There is still a lot of offseason news to come, but let's start with some simple predictions - and my thoughts might surprise you.

Week 1
Indianapolis Colts (0-0) vs Miami Dolphins

The Colts open their season at home, where they have lost 11 straight season openers. This year does not get any easier against the always-pesky Miami Dolphins. This early in the season, it's difficult to know which Tua you will get in Miami. A major tipping point for this game is the improvement the Colts have made on stopping the run. Miami is a run first team, even with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle on the outsides. Indianapolis finally breaks the Week 1 drought, and they get a close but satisfying win.

Week 2
Indianapolis Colts (1-0) vs Denver Broncos

After a Week 1 win, the Colts stay in the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium to host the Denver Broncos. The Colts nearly defeated the Broncos last season in Denver. However, Jonathan Taylor dropped the ball (literally) on an early TD celebration, and Anthony Richardson was unable to execute a disastrously-called trick play, which led to a pick six by Denver that sealed the win for them. I think this game will be close, but Denver has too many advantages against the Colts

Week 3
Indianapolis (1-1) at Tennessee Titans

The Colts have their first road game of the season in Tennessee. This game is ripe for the picking, as new rookie quarterback Cam Ward is still learning the scheme and how to be an NFL quarterback. The Colts roster is far superior than Tennessee's, and they should dominate this game in nearly every category. I think the Colts win this game easily win.

Week 4
Indianapolis (2-1) at Los Angeles Rams

The franchise is riding high from its 2-1 start as they head out west for the first time this season. The Rams are coming off an east coast game in Philadelphia. Could that play a factor in this game? Absolutely; anytime you have played the defending champs, and then travel back from a likely physical game, it will be a factor. The Rams won the last two meetings, but both were close, being within a touchdown both times. I think the Rams win with some much-needed home field advantage, but the Colts do win games they should not win. Rams win another tight game against Indy.
