The Indianapolis Colts eked out a victory over the Tennessee Titans in Week 16, and are looking to take on the New York Giants in a game they need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Colts are still in the playoff hunt, though their path there is a bit complicated - especially since the Pittsburgh Steelers lost to the Kansas City Chiefs on Christmas Day. This means the Chiefs will almost certainly not play their starters against the Denver Broncos, who the Colts need to lose their remaining two games to make the playoffs. The Broncos are more likely to win if the Chiefs' starts are not playing.
There are many things that need to happen for the Colts to make the playoffs that are out of their control, but none of it will matter if the Colts don't defeat the Giants. Fortunately, the Colts are coming off of an explosive offensive performance from Jonathan Taylor and Anthony Richardson against the Titans, a feat that will need to be repeated against the Giants. And while the Colts are favored to win, like with the Titans, this is a game they can't afford to be cavalier about.
