Colts rival just became the punchline of a savage remark

...especially after last season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars may have finally turned things back around. The team won the AFC South in 2025 after going 13-4. But, as all Indianapolis Colts fans know, the Jags still have a way of Jags-ing things up. Jacksonville is the same organization that finished first in the division in 2017 and then last for four straight years afterward.

Plus, Jacksonville followed up winning the division by doing almost nothing in free agency while losing players such as Travis Etienne, Devin Lloyd, and Greg Newsome II. On paper, and likely in reality, Jacksonville is a worse team next season than they were last year.

One player agent put the Jaguars' penchant for screwing things up succinctly when talking to ESPN recently: "For better or worse, Jacksonville is going to do this their way -- they are going to pick the players they want, perception be damned."

Indianapolis Colts fans will love what one agent said about the Jacksonville Jaguars

The above includes the Jaguars stunningly taking tight end Nate Boerkircher in the second round when he wasn't expected to go until the fourth round or later. In other words, Jacksonville appeared to reach for a player they could have had in the third round when the team had three selections.

To Colts fans, this is all just fine. Let Jacksonville take all the momentum gained from going 13-4 last season and turn that into dust. The Jags are one of two teams that Indianapolis will need to climb over to win its first division title since 2014.

While general manager Chris Ballard could have seemingly done more with the cap room he created by re-signing quarterback Daniel Jones and wide receiver Alec Pierce, as well as trading Michael Pittman Jr. and Zaire Franklin, Indy's draft appears to have been really good, even though the team didn't have a first-round choice.

If Indy can stay healthier next season, and Jones can replicate what he produced in the first half of the 2025 season, Indianapolis should be in good shape to make a run at the postseason. The Houston Texans might be a bit more difficult to overtake than the Jaguars for the AFC South crown, but anything can happen.

What is clear is that, as the agent said, the Jacksonville Jaguars are going to do what they do and not care what others think. That worked last year, but hasn't worked well for most of the last two decades. That is great news for fans of Indy.
