The Indianapolis Colts and Bernhard Raimann have agreed to a contract extension ensuring the star tackle will remain in Indy for four more years, just days after Raimann publicly announced he and the Colts were not close to agreeing on a deal.
The 2025 season was the last in Raimann's prior contract, and during an appearance on 107.5 The Fan's "Query and Company," he said he was being undervalued by the Colts. "Obviously, we love it here. Would love to get things done," he said. "I'm not involved in this. Obviously, you have an agent that takes care of this. From my understanding, they aren't on the same page about things right now. But for me as a football player, I'm preparing for the season because that's what matters."
He then continued, "From my understanding is that the numbers don't always quite add up yet. You know, the way they might value the position differently than my team thinks it is. Um, but, you know, we're working on it."
Further, Raimann made it clear that he knows how valuable he is to the Colts, after host Jake Query pointed out that he has one of the most vital positions on the team. "I'm well aware of that," he said. "I know that my agent knows that, um... hoping the Colts know that, too."
Considering the contract he just got, it seems the Colts were, in fact, well aware of that, too.

Mike Garofalo reported that the Colts and Raimann agreed to a four-year, $100 million extension, with $60 million guaranteed. It's a monster contract that makes him one of the highest paid players at his position.
In a statement, Chris Ballard praised Raimann and said the contract will help keep the Colts' reliable offensive line in place. "Bernhard has worked extremely hard, and this contract extension is a testament to his character, dedication and persistence," he said. "He exemplifies each of our team's four pillars and is a leader in our locker room. I'm excited for him and his family on this well-deserved contract extension."
Raimann was just named the most underrated offensive linemen in the entire league by Pro Football Focus, noting that over the past two seasons, he ranks fourth among 28 qualifying left tackles, behind only Jordan Mailata, Trent Williams, and Terron Armstead.
