The Indianapolis Colts have placed defensive back, Kenny Moore, on injured reserve, while several other names appear on the injury report.

Kenny Moore hasn’t played or practiced with the Indianapolis Colts since he went down with an ankle injury in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. With each passing week, it was becoming evident that he wouldn’t return this season but the Colts refused to put him on injured reserve. The reason for that is that Indianapolis was holding out hope that Moore would be healthy in time for Week 18 and could play in Indy’s final game. However, that didn’t happen and the Colts finally made the decision to place Moore on injured reserve, officially ending his season before the final game.

Kenny Moore ends a frustrating season for him and Indianapolis having played in just 12 games and recording 65 tackles, four for a loss, and one sack. Moore also deflected four passes but didn’t have any interceptions. Overall, it was a bit of a step back from the Pro Bowl season he had a year ago. Now, Moore will enter an interesting offseason where his future with the Colts will be questioned.

Moore has one season remaining on his contract and he already expressed his desire for a new deal. He had hoped to get a new contract before this season but once training camp arrived, Moore agreed to table discussions. Now it’s time for those negotiations to be had. Will the Colts give Kenny the money he’s looking for or will Indy move Moore to a team more willing to pay him? That’s just one of the many situations Indianapolis has to resolve this offseason.

Before the Colts can get to offseason problems, they still have one game left against the Houston Texans. With many top players already sidelined, Indianapolis has even more names on the injury report for the regular-season finale.

Colts injury report for Week 18

Indianapolis has seven names on the injury report and only one of them practiced on Wednesday. That was wide receiver Ashton Dulin, who missed Indy’s Week 17 game against the New York Giants with a concussion. He had a full practice on Wednesday and should likely be ready to go on Sunday. However, there’s no certainty that some of the other names on the list will be ready.

Brandon Facyson didn’t practice after leaving the last game with a concussion and fellow corner, Stephon Gilmore, was also out with an injured wrist. Nick Foles didn’t practice with his injured ribs, and it has already been announced that he won’t be playing this week. Kylen Granson also didn’t practice, as he’s still dealing with the ankle injury that sidelined him for the last two weeks.

With this being the last game of the season, it’s unlikely that anyone will try to play through an injury, especially since playoffs aren’t on the line for Indy. In fact, since it could benefit Indianapolis to lose, they’ll probably make sure to sit some guys who have even the slightest injury.
