With two games left in the season for the Indianapolis Colts, Indy has shut Isaiah Rodgers Sr. down for the year after a recent injury.

The Indianapolis Colts are 4-10-1 and only have two games remaining this season. With it being so late in the season, and playoffs out of the equation, Indianapolis has been shutting down a lot of its injured players. With Shaquille Leonard and Jonathan Taylor already sidelined, the Colts recently added cornerback Isaiah Rodgers Sr. to that list.

Rodgers suffered a knee injury in Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers and on Wednesday, the team placed him on injured reserve, ending his 2022 season. Rodgers took to Twitter to update fans, saying, “I’m good family. God’s plan, He got me! See y’all next year.” This comes after Rodgers’ best season as a corner. He played the most cornerback snaps of his three-year career this season, and fans were wishing he played even more. Next season, Rodgers should certainly be a day-one starter.

Rodgers wasn’t the only injury update that Indianapolis gave on Wednesday. The Colts released their full injury report following Wednesday’s walkthrough with an estimation of players’ statuses if it was a full practice. Indy only had four names on the report.

Colts injury report entering Week 17

Kenny Moore, who has likely already played his last game of the season, didn’t practice. Moore hasn’t played or practiced since injuring his ankle in Week 12 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The team hasn’t officially sidelined him as they did Rodgers but it’s becoming clear that he’s unlikely to play again this season.

Like Moore, the other three names on the injury report didn’t practice either. Ashton Dulin is still in concussion protocol after the collision he had in Monday’s game with Derwin James, and Kylen Granson is still dealing with an ankle injury that forced him to miss Monday’s game. Rodney McLeod Jr., the veteran safety, just had a rest day.

McLeod should be good to go for Sunday’s Week 17 game against the New York Giants but the statuses of the other guys will be monitored throughout the week.
