Wish No. 3: A top-five pick in the 2023 Draft

The Indianapolis Colts currently sit with the sixth overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and could easily land one of four quarterbacks in the draft. However, reduce the odds of the ones you want getting drafted ahead of you by getting into the top five, maybe even the top three.

Lose out on the remaining games you have in 2022 and move up to the third or fourth overall pick. It’s hard to convince players and coaches to do this when they are playing for their careers and want a shot at the NFL.

I know it’s even hard for the fans to actively root against your favorite team, but you aren’t doing them a service if you openly root for them no matter what to win games. The organization will see that you will root for them no matter what and won’t do anything to improve. Don’t get complacent during the holiday season this year.

Demand better from your team, but that starts with losing. “Suck for Luck” as many would have said in 2011. This time, “Suck for (insert quarterback’s name here)” should be the phrase in the last three weeks of the season.
