Is there a chance that TY Hilton plays for the Colts again?

The door to bring TY Hilton back to the Colts is still open but not by much. There was mutual interest expressed early in the offseason by both parties, but nothing has come to fruition. Indy has a young core at the receiving position, and all signs are pointing to the Colts wanting to develop the guys that they have. I think that is the reason there has been no deal made.

Now, I am not saying that TY has to come in and be the No. 1 receiver again, but there definitely should be a role for him on this team. Leadership is the main thing that stands out to me. The Colts have no veterans in their receiving room on this roster. Adding Hilton would bring one of the best veteran receivers in again to guide this group.

Now, prime TY Hilton will not come walking through the door, but the dude can still play. I have confidence in his ability to still get it done on Sundays. Hilton has done a ton for the city of Indianapolis with his play.

At one point, TY had said that he would like to finish out his career as a Colt. You have to think if the Colts do not come to a deal with him, would he just retire? The Colts need to get him on the phone now to bring him in for some type of role. He has an infectious smile, the ability to get along with others, and the ability to still get it done on the field.

You have to wonder what is going to go down with this situation. I feel like teams would be remiss to not entertain the thought of bringing TY in for at least a year. TY is one of the best receivers of the last decade and if he wants to play, someone needs to get the man on a roster.
