2. Extend Kenny Moore II

Next on the To-Do list is locking up an extension with one of the premier nickel corners in the league, Kenny Moore. Currently an OTA holdout, the former undrafted free agent is entering the final year of his 4-year, $33.3 million deal.

While the holdout is just from the voluntary practices, for now, it could be a storyline come June 7th when the Colts begin mandatory practices.

Coming off a career year in 2021, Moore is facing a yearly salary that is lesser in value than 21 players, according to Spotrac.com. Someone that’s coming off a season that resulted in triple-digit tackles, four interceptions, and a sack, surely is poised for a new deal. Especially a player that’s viewed as an anchor in the Colts’ defense.

Head Coach Frank Reich was asked about the holdout, and responded with no worries about a new deal, remaining positive that he hopes a deal is worked out for Moore. Reich added that he “loves” Moore as a player and says that the defense “needs” him out there. This deal may not transpire right away, but it’s certainly one that should be in the works.
