The Indianapolis Colts need to make some big moves to compete in the AFC for a Super Bowl run.

At the moment, Jonathan Taylor is in his absolute prime for the Indianapolis Colts and some of Indy’s defensive players are at their ceiling in terms of production. It’s time to make some moves this offseason and acquire the right talent to move towards winning a Super Bowl.

But what moves could the Colts make this offseason to get that talent? With little draft capital in the earlier rounds, it may require Chris Ballard to move talent from his roster.

Ideally, Indy would be able to retain all of its current roster and continue building through the draft and free agency. Several positions can be addressed in free agency, but positions like quarterback aren’t going to be so lucky.

We’ve recently discussed which players shouldn’t be touched in trade talks, but let’s make the counterargument for who Ballard is likely talking about.

Players like Taylor, Quenton Nelson, and Darius Leonard should remain Colts in 2022. However, there are several key rotational players and starters that Indianapolis could part ways with to go all-in in 2022.
