QB Carson Strong, Nevada

Alright Jeff Saturday, we all get it. The Carson Wentz trade was probably not the best. Even Ballard wouldn’t commit to Wentz being the long-term solution for Indianapolis moving forward.

The Colts don’t currently have another solution on the roster, and that makes fans nervous. The team wants a player that will be in Indianapolis for the next 10-12 years or longer. Knowing this isn’t the draft to get a quarterback in the first round, the second round could provide that option.

I know one guy named Carson that could do well in Indianapolis, and that’s the Nevada quarterback, Carson Strong.

The Colts could draft their future in the second round this year by taking Strong. He is a quarterback that will thrive in a clean pocket. He likes to play out of the gun but doesn’t often get outside to run the ball.

Strong might look rough to start the season, but I’d expect him to pick it up very quickly on the Colts offense. Remember when Russell Wilson was drafted to the Seattle Seahawks? He wasn’t drafted to be the starter but earned it by Week 1.

Wilson was also entered into a team that was a quarterback away from being a Super Bowl contender. If the Colts can make the right moves this offseason, Strong could be the piece the Colts need for the next decade.
