1. The Colts must run the ball to avoid upset vs Texans

“Run the ball” are probably the three favorite words of the Indianapolis fan base. The Colts have the best running back in the NFL, and many often believe he isn’t fed enough. Most times, they are right.

On Sunday, Jonathan Taylor should get a heavy workload. Sure, the Texans are horrible and Indy can probably beat them with a pass-first game plan, but why make things complicated if the run game is there?

If this season has taught us anything, it’s that the run will be there against Houston. The Texans have the 31st-ranked rushing defense, allowing 135.6 yards a game and 4.5 yards a carry. In other words, they should have no chance against the Colts’ dominant rushing attack.

In the first game against Houston, Taylor had 145 yards and two touchdowns on just 14 carries, and the second matchup shouldn’t be any different. No matter how many people they put in the box, Indianapolis should be able to get the run game going, and if they can’t, that’ll be a massive issue.

This is the perfect week for Taylor to regain momentum for his MVP campaign and for the team to get back rolling. With just five regular season games remaining, Indy can’t afford any hiccups.
