The public outcry from the Indianapolis Colts fan base asking for the former 49ers star is disturbing and ridiculous at best and at worst ignorant to football in general.

The Colts fanbase lost their minds in the wake of the recent retirement of Andrew Luck, even going so far as to boo him off the field.

I’m extremely interested in politics and history, even going to far as to write a book about Libertarian values. See how you got uncomfortable when I mention my political leanings? Now imagine this times a million for a whole season. It’s going to be in your face, all day, all night, without an end in sight.

Politics aside, Kaepernick isn’t a good player. Like I said before, he got beat out for a terrible player on a terrible team. Once teams understood the way to shut Kaep down is to force him to actually play the part of quarterback, they would win. The reason? Kaepernick isn’t a good player. Period. Bottom line.

We shouldn’t just sign any player because they used to be good. Kaepernick was a great player until defenses figured him out. They found if you play tight, man-to-man coverage and force him to actually pass the ball it wasn’t that difficult to get him to make mistakes.

The best bet is to roll with Jacoby Brissett this season then look at the draft for a future player in the 2020 NFL draft.

I fail to see how signing a below-average player makes this team any better or any team for that matter.

Next. 5 quarterbacks Colts could consider trading for. dark

The team has moved on, and so should the fans.
