The Colts announced the signing of rookie Darius Leonard today, so that means that the team now has all of its rookies signed.

The Colts have been able to sign everyone from their rookie draft class. Most teams sign their rookies relatively quickly, but some players can lag behind others. That was the case with the Colts, as they just signed their last rookie today.

Indianapolis has eleven rookies. A lot of them were in OTA’s in the spring to help learn the offense quicker. The rookies were able to get playbooks quickly and also get to know the other players as well as the coaching staff.

The team announced the signing of the final rookie, Darius Leonard, on their Twitter account.

Leonard will now be at training camp with the rest of the team this week. He has a chance to fight for a starting position at linebacker, so he needs to be in camp as soon as possible. The other eleven rookies range from starters to borderline roster players.

Some of the other rookies who could fight for starting spots are along the offensive line in Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith. Nelson should be a day one starter, but Smith also has a chance to see significant playing time. He will have to earn his time on the field along a crowded offensive line.
