“Hard Knocks” is one of the best sports related shows year in and year out. But will Colts fans ever get to see their team on the immensely popular HBO show?
With the summer in full swing and training camp just around the corner, the NFL is about to be put back into the spotlight. “Hard Knocks” is about to come back on once training camp does arrive. The Colts have never been on the incredibly popular show. But will Colts fans ever see their team on the show?
The Colts are a secretive organization. They don’t have too many leaks. They like to keep everything internally. This is why the only time we hear about Andrew Luck’s progress is from the man himself when he speaks to the media.
With that being said, it makes sense why the Colts have never been on the show. The organization doesn’t want the kind of distraction that would come with that show. The Colts also wouldn’t want teams to know their plans.
Another big reason why the Colts have never been on the show has to do with their recent success. In order to be considered for the show, a team has to have not made the playoffs in consecutive years and must not have made a coaching change.
Because the Colts have been so successful in the past decade or so, the team hasn’t had the chance to even qualify for the show. This year they have Frank Reich as a new coach, so that would disqualify them again.

Colts fans should hope they never see their team on the show. That would mean that they’ve had continued success and wouldn’t be qualified to be on it. Even if they do qualify, don’t expect them to ever be on it.
