The Colts (3-7) are coming off their bye week and play host to the Tennessee Titans (6-4) on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
Since taking the reigns in Indianapolis, head coach Chuck Pagano has a 3-1 record after the bye week. In fact, the Colts defeated the Tennessee Titans last season following their bye week 24-17.
The Colts’ last game before the bye was a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds to the Pittsburgh Steelers 20-17 as Steelers kicker Chris Boswell knocked through the game-winning field goal as time expired.
The Titans’ previous game also resulted in a loss to Pittsburgh. The Steelers dominated the Titans last Thursday night 40-17 in a game that saw Marcus Mariota throw 4 interceptions.
While Indianapolis isn’t technically eliminated from playoff contention, their chances making it to the postseason are bleak at best. The Titans, however, are right in the thick of the race for the AFC South crown and the Colts would like nothing more than to play spoiler.
Tennessee ranks 15th in the NFL in total offense, and while the Colts are ranked dead last in total defense, they’ve shown improvement the last few weeks. In the past 3 games the Colts’ defense has held opponents to an average of 17 points per game.

Jacoby Brissett is expected to play after suffering a concussion two weeks ago. The Colts’ quarterback is completing 60.9% of his passes and has 9 touchdowns with a quarterback rating of 86.7 on the season.
The Titans are favored by 4.5 points, but being the underdog is nothing new for this year’s Colts team. However, with an added week of rest, expect the Colts to come out with a lot of energy and play hard in front of the home crowd.
