The Colts put up a valiant fight against the AFC-leading Pittsburgh Steelers, but in the end came up just short. Pittsburgh took home the win 20-17.

Chris Boswell kicked a 33-yard field goal with :04 remaining to lift the Steelers over the Colts, dropping Indianapolis to 3-7 on the season.

Pierre Desir made a fantastic play during the Steelers’ first drive. Ben Roethlisberger went deep downfield on the second play from scrimmage, but Desir made a play on the ball and came down with the interception.

After two straight punts, the Colts put together a nice drive on their third possession, which was capped off by a 60-yard bomb from Jacoby Brissett to a wide open Donte Moncrief. Moncrief beat Steelers’ cornerback Artie Burns and crossed the goal line in front of safety Sean Davis.

Then a 13-play 63-yard drive ended with a 48-yard field goal by Adam Vinatieri. The Colts took a 10-3 lead into the locker room at halftime and looked prime for an upset after Chris Boswell kicked a 41-yard field goal late in the second quarter.

The Colts started out the second half with a bang as Brissett Chester Rodgers for a 61-yard touchdown. Vinatieri’s extra point put the Colts up by 14.

The Steelers marched right down the field to pull within 8 after JuJu Smith-Schuster caught a 3rd-down pass from 7 yards out for a touchdown. Chris Boswell‘s PAT was then blocked by the Colts’ Margus Hunt.

Late in the 3rd quarter, a huge mistake by the Colts’ offense resulted in a turnover. Jack Doyle bobbled a Brissett pass, and it ended up in the hands of Ryan Shazier for an interception. The Steelers would score on the ensuing possession and a successful 2-point conversion tied the game 17-17.
