The Colts made a couple of roster moves on Tuesday reacting to an injury from Sunday night’s loss to the Seahawks.
General manager Chris Ballard signed Sean Spence this offseason to add some experience to a very young corps of linebackers. Spence had been in the league since 2012, and played in 46 games before joining the Colts.
Spence was one of the players who just missed the cut for the 53-man regular season roster, but injuries to Anthony Walker and Antonio Morrison caused the front office to bring him back in.
Spence‘s second stint as a Colt lasted about as long as his first one as he was released today to open up a roster spot for a bigger of position of need.
Tuesday’s biggest story was the news that center Ryan Kelly is expected to make his season debut on Sunday after missing the first four games after preseason foot surgery.
However, the Colts don’t have much depth behind him at center after Deyshawn Bond tore his quad on Sunday night, and was subsequently placed on injured reserve.

The Colts used that open roster spot to bring in guard/center Mike Person, who was previously sitting on Washington’s practice squad.
Person has been on six different NFL teams in his seven-year career, which includes a brief stop in Indianapolis in 2012. Person didn’t play in a regular season during his first go-around with the Colts.
Indianapolis is hoping they won’t need to play Person at all this time either, but he provides a bit of depth along the interior of the offensive line.
