Colts Shuffle Scouting Department and Name New Scouts
The Indianapolis Colts have shuffled their scouting department by promoting internally, as well as by naming two new scouts:
It comes just a week after it was reported that the team was looking to fill some corresponding vacancies in their personnel department.
Vasvari is entering his 19th season with the Colts organization and previously served as the team’s Assistant Director of College Scouting (2012-15). From 2006-11, he served as the Colts eastern regional scout. Prior to joining the team, he was an area scout for the Carolina Panthers (1995-97).
Terpening is also entering his 19th season with the Colts organization, having been the team’s national scout previously for the past 3 years. Prior to this role, he spent 13 seasons with the Colts as an area scout.
Brown is entering his 2nd season with the Colts, as he was a scouting assistant for the team last season. Prior to this role with the Colts, he served as Boston College’s assistant director of player personnel and recruiting specialist respectively in his two year tenure.
Henry came over from the Detroit Lions, where he spent the past 17 seasons as an area scout (2000-15). He started as an intern in their personnel department in 1997.
Some Colts fans may know Elliott as a former Purdue Boilermakers quarterback (2005-09). However, after a stint with the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2010 offseason at quarterback, Elliott went on to play 5 seasons in the CFL (2010-14) before becoming an eastern scout for the Ottawa Redbacks (2015).
