The Indianapolis Colts have a slim chance to make the playoffs, but will need a win against the Tennessee Titans without a few key players.
This weekends matchup of the Titans at Colts won’t be quite as entertaining without either team’s starting quarterback. The Colts announced that Andrew Luck won’t be able to play in the regular season finale. He was officially limited in practice, but still won’t play this week.
The official word was that Luck wouldn’t have enough time to get the necessary number of reps in after so many weeks off. At the same time it was made clear that Luck hasn’t been clear to play yet either.

At the same time, the Titans announced that rookie QB Marcus Mariota would be out with an MCL injury. Interim coach Mike Mularkey said that Mariota wasn’t as far along as the team would like and it wasn’t worth risking him in a meaningless game (the same could be said of Luck).
The Colts had a number of other injuries to deal with.
They have concerns at quarterback after placing Charlie Whitehurst on IR with a hamstring injury. Matt Hasselbeck has an injured everything (specifically back, ribs, and a sprained shoulder) and it would be shocking if the old warrior actually took the field this week.
Five more players sat out practice today.
Dwayne Allen (who, yes is still on the team despite what usage would suggest) has a strained calf. Cornerback Darius Butler has a sore hip and knee. Safety Colt Anderson is dealing with a sprained ankle.
Donte Moncrief is dealing with a foot injury and was seen at practice in a walking boot. Outside linebacker Trent Cole is currently in the concussion protocol. Safety Winston Guy has a hamstring and shoulder injuries.
Four players were limited in practice on Wednesday.
Tight end Jack Doyle is working through a toe injury. Linebacker Jerrell Freeman‘s persistent hamstring injury is plaguing him once again. OLB Erik Walden is still dealing with his sore foot. And T.Y. Hilton did limited work with a calf injury.
