By Evan Reller
The Indianapolis Colts are set to face the New England Patriots this weekend, but might have to do so without a key member of the team. Andrew Luck‘s status for Sunday night’s game still remains up in the air.

Luck reportedly practiced in full on Monday, but was limited for Wednesday’s official practice. He said that he has made progress and took more reps today. The team could be easing him back, waiting to see how his shoulder responds, or there is still real concern about the health of his shoulder.
Luck missed the past two games, but the Colts still pulled out victories with Matt Hasselbeck at the helm. While Luck might be functional, he might not have the strength to make every throw on the field. We’ve seen some velocity and placement issues this season from Luck which would make sense considering the injury.
There were a few other Colts players showing up on the injury report today besides Luck.
Inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman was sidelined as he recovers from a groin injury. He suffered the injury against the Jaguars two weeks ago and missed the Texans game.
Outside linebacker Trent Cole was limited with a sore back today. Inside linebacker Nate Irving, who filled in for Freeman, was also limited with a knee injury. Irving tore his ACL in 2014 but there is no indication if this was the same knee or if the team just wanted to limit his reps today.
Bjoern Werner made his way back to practice after missing the Texans game with a hamstring injury. Werner was a full participant today.
The Colts also announced today that rookie running back Tyler Varga would be placed on IR as he recovers from a concussion that has kept him sidelined the past two games. The team moved to re-sign Ahmad Bradshaw to fill out the running back rotation.
The Colts also gave Robert Mathis and Andre Johnson the day off for rest.
