Colts at Texans Injury Report: Walking Wounded
The Indianapolis Colts have a number of other players appearing on Monday’s injury report aside from Andrew Luck. Some of the new names on the list might be of greater concern than the status of Luck’s shoulder.
However as Luck goes, so goes the team. He has a subluxation (partial dislocation) of his right, throwing shoulder. Reports indicate that he doesn’t have an structural damage (read: no tears in the muscles or ligaments) and the issue is pain tolerance. Luck was limited in practice again but it sounds like he was actually throwing the ball a bit.

New to this week’s injury list were CB Vontae Davis and DT Henry Anderson. Both are dealing with foot injuries and had walking boots on following Sunday’s game. Anderson was still in the boot on Monday, while Davis was not but neither practiced.
Losing either of these player would be a big blow to a defense that has struggled at times. Anderson has been great against the run game while Davis has been the only talented corner left on the roster in an already thin secondary.
CB Jalil Brown and ILB Jerrell Freeman both left Sunday’s game early with groin injuries and didn’t practice on Monday. Defensive end Kendall Langford was also out with an apparent back injury. Outside linebacker Bjoern Werner also had the day off with a sore hamstring.
The Colts could also be thin at running back as rookie Tyler Varga is still out as he recovers from a concussion. Frank Gore was also new to the injury list with a foot injury and given Monday off. This might be why the Colts called Ahmad Bradshaw for a workout.
There was some good news for the Colts as tight end Dwayne Allen (ankle) and CB Greg Toler (neck) were both full participants at practice on Monday. Allen has missed the past two games while Toler has been out since the preseason.
