Colts at Titans Injury Report: Trent Cole Out

The Indianapolis Colts head south to face the Tennessee Titans for their first divisional game of the season. The Colts are looking for their first win of the season, but will be doing so without a few key members on defense.

Trent Cole was kept out of practice on Thursday and Friday with a minor knee injury. Cole didn’t travel with the team and is officially out for Sunday.

The Colts secondary will be thin against this week as Greg Toler (neck) and Darius Butler (hip) have been ruled out as well. Vontae Davis suffered a concussion last week, but will play on Sunday.

Tight end Dwayne Allen is also out against the Titans with an ankle injury. There hasn’t been any indication about the severity of the injury, but there doesn’t seem to be much concern either.

Jonathan Newsome missed last week’s game with a sore hamstring, but was a full participant all week long. He will play on Sunday and likely have a fair share of snaps with Cole out and Mathis still working his way back into game shape.

Guard Lance Louis suffered a shoulder injury last week, but worked his way back into a full practice and will start on Sunday. While this keeps the offensive line intact, it might have been better if he couldn’t play as he has been terrible so far this year.

Andre Johnson, D’Qwell Jackson, and Bjoern Werner all appeared on the injury report this week but were just given a day off for rest.
