T.Y. Hilton’s Injury Timetable is Reportedly 1-2 Weeks

According to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton is dealing with a knee bruise and will likely only be out 1-2 weeks for precautionary purposes:

Following a negative x-ray, it comfirms owner Jim Irsay‘s report yesterday that Hilton would be out a few weeks, but now we have a better indication of just how many weeks that exactly could be.

The good news is that the Colts really dodged a bullet here, as the knee injury could’ve ultimately been much more significant all things considered. Still, Hilton is the team’s best receiver and losing him the next week or two could hamper the offense’s productivity going forward.

In his absence, look for wideouts such as Donte Moncrief and Phillip Dorsett to assume much larger roles within the offense. While quarterback Andrew Luck will likely lean much more heavily on proven Andre Johnson as his replacement go-to target.

Here’s hoping Hilton as a speedy recovery!
