The Indianapolis Colts are on the road to face the St. Louis Rams in Week 3 of the preseason. The two teams haven’t faced each other since 2013, when the Rams dominated the Colts 38-8 in Indianapolis.
The Colts and Rams are both expected to play their starters for at least the first half. Coach Chuck Pagano recently discussed how much the starters would play.

While a number of players with any kind of nagging injuries won’t be suiting up, this will still be the closest we’ll be to seeing a real football game in the preseason.
The Rams are a good opponent to test the Colts’ biggest weakness: the offensive line. We’ve been hyping up how good the Rams defensive line is and should be the ultimate stress test for this unit.
The Colts have to cut the roster from 90 players to 75 by this Tuesday, so it will be the last chance for a few players to make an impact with the team. It is fairly clear who won’t be making the team, but there is always the chance that another NFL squad could pick them up off waivers.
We’ve singled out a few players who need to make an impact or continue playing great in the preseason. You can also check out our game preview here.
