The Colts decision to choose Dorsett at 29 in this past years draft fell under much scrutiny. Many thought it was a worthless pick, being that the Colts already had a plethora of talented wide receivers. However, Dorsett has dazzled coaches in training camp and Offensive Coordinator Pep Hamilton has had trouble watching Dorsett because he can’t keep track of him since he’s so fast! If that isn’t promising, I don’t know what is! The hallmark of Dorsett is his speed, as I touched on earlier. What he may lack in route running he makes up for in pure speed and athleticism. I think a fair comparison for Dorsett would be Mike Wallace. Think about it, they both have raw speed and athleticism and Wallace has never been the best route runner, but he has fairly soft hands. I foresee Dorsett as a big-play guy in his rookie campaign more so than a stat stuffer.
