Top-5 Greatest Colts Games of the Manning/Luck Era
1. 2006 AFC Championship vs. New England
Winning a Super Bowl is nice, but you know what might be a little more satisfying? Beating the Patriots to get to the Super Bowl. That being said, this was no cake walk for Indianapolis as the Colts fell behind 21-6 in the early going of the game. As a kid I thought this game was over, I actually turned it off a little while if we’re being completely honest.
However, when I turned it back on the Colts had life back in them as Dan Klecko had just caught a one yard touchdown pass. From that point on, the game was neck and neck as the teams traded touchdowns and field goals.
The unsung hero of this game was Joseph Addai, who scored the game winning touchdown with a minute remaining. On the ensuing Patriots drive, Tom Brady threw an interception to Marlin Jackson that sealed the deal that night in the RCA Dome.
That win was extra satisfying to Colts fans as finally after several defeats at the hands of the Patriots, the Colts were finally able to be victorious.
