EA Sports recently unveiled its quarterback ratings for Madden ’16, in what’s become an annual rite of August for sports gamers in its world-famous football video game series.
Of course, a certain Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck was revealed to be in the Top 5 of its quarterback ratings, and rightfully so:
From EASports official Madden web site:
"“ANDREW LUCK (94 OVR)INDIANAPOLIS COLTS6’4, 240 POUNDSLuck boasts the same league-high 95 Throw on the Run as Big Ben, with comparable accuracy at 88 TAS/89 TAM/75 TAD. He also features 95 Throw Power and 92 Play Action.”"
As an avid Madden gamer throughout the years, it takes me back to the days when Peyton Manning had a perennial 99 overall rating for the Colts. Bestowed a 94 overall rating this year, Luck isn’t too far off in his own right, and with his exceptional ability to both run and throw, it pretty much makes him an opposing gamer’s nightmare.
Just like other NFL teams in real life.
Only 25 years old, if anyone’s looking to do a franchise fantasy draft in Madden, Luck should be the consensus #1 overall pick in every format. However, Colts fans have the luxury of already having him under center when they play with their favorite team normally.
Madden is slated to hit shelves on August 25, 2015, and will be available on the Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One platforms. This year’s cover athlete is the New York Giants spectacular wideout Odell Beckham Jr., so be sure to be on the lookout.
