Andrew Luck and his Colts Receivers Trained at Stanford

According to Colts.com’s Kevin Bowen, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck and some of his receivers trained at Stanford University this past week in anticipation of August’s training camp:

"“As expected, some of the Colts pass catchers and Andrew Luck got together for work this offseason,” writes Bowen. “Luck had the guys go to Stanford University with Training Camp just two weeks away. This get together follows another earlier this offseason at the University of Miami.”"

While specific receivers weren’t mentioned, we do know that 2nd-year wideout Donte Moncrief was in attendance for the Stanford workouts with Luck:

If I were a betting man, I’d also assume that some of Luck’s former Stanford Cardinal teammates turned Colts in Coby Fleener and Griff Whalen were also training in Palo Alto, California, with them. However, that hasn’t been clearly confirmed.

Either way, it’s great to see members of the Colts putting in additional hours and hard work during their time off. While Peyton Manning has always been well known for getting together with his receivers during the offseason whether it be at Duke University or wherever else, it’s great to see Luck and his receivers following suit.

By working out with his receivers, Luck figures to build better chemistry and rapport with them. Passing in the NFL requires the utmost timing and precision, which is something that Luck is clearly looking to develop more with his receivers. Consequently, they should be ready to hit the ground running come the start of the regular season.
