Colts at Texans Injury Report: Luck, Hasselbeck Questionable

The Indianapolis Colts are heading south to face the Houston Texans tomorrow night, but they have a number of starters who might not be playing this week.

Chief among these injuries is still Andrew Luck who was once again limited in practice the past three days with a shoulder injury. Luck’s workload has increased, and the coaches expect him to play, but there is still concern about how effective he’ll be.

Also questionable for Thursday night’s game is Matt Hasselbeck who was out Tuesday with an illness. He was a full participant today, but could have setback before the game.

Two key members of the defense also showed up on the questionable list. Cornerback Vontae Davis didn’t practice with a foot injury this week. Defensive tackle Henry Anderson is also suffering from a foot injury, but managed to get in some limited work today.

Safety Mike Adams practiced on Monday, was out Tuesday, and limited today with a neck injury. He is also questionable for Thursday.

Three plays have already been ruled OUT for tomorrow night’s game. Linebacker Jerrell Freeman is out with a groin injury he suffered against the Jaguars. Outside linebacker Bjoern Werner is out with a sore hamstring. Running back Tyler Varga has yet to recover from a concussion suffered nearly two weeks ago and is also out this week.

The Colts also placed cornerback Jalil Brown on injured reserve after he suffered a groin tear this past weekend.

There is some good news for the Colts.

Tight end Dwayne Allen was a full participant at practice this week and is listed as probable. He sat out the past two games with an ankle injury.

Frank Gore sat out Monday’s practice with an apparent foot injury, but practiced fully the past two days. He is probable for tomorrow.

Defensive end Kendall Langford was out Monday with a back injury, but worked his way back the past two days and is expected to play tomorrow.

Cornerback Greg Toler is also expected to make his season debut. He had been out since the preseason with a fairly serious neck injury but has slowly worked his way back into practice the past two weeks.
