The Indianapolis Colts have officially agreed on a 4-year, $43.6 million dollar deal with starting left tackle Anthony Castonzo:

The deal reportedly contains $35M in the first 3 years and that portion is guaranteed, meaning it essentially could just be a 3-year deal if the Colts wanted to get out of the contract prematurely:
Been told #colts Anthony Castonzo's $43.6M extension does include $35M in 1st 3 years, and that portion is GTD

After signing his left tackle to a lucrative, long-term contract extension, general manager Ryan Grigson made the following comments in a press release issued by the team:
"“Left tackles like Anthony Castonzo are hard to come by,” Ryan Grigson said. “He’s a team first guy that works as hard at his craft as anyone I have ever been around regardless of position,” added Grigson. “His desire to be great literally consumes him, and he is a shining example of the sacrifice it truly takes every single day to be at the top of his game come Sunday. From ownership on down, we are all extremely happy that AC will be wearing the horseshoe for many years to come. “"
Obviously, Castonzo is one of the best left tackles in all of football. He has the incredibly important task of protecting Andrew Luck‘s blindside and has been the anchor of the Colts offensive line over the past few seasons.
Keeping him in horseshoe blue for the foreseeable future is great for both sides.
Not only does Castonzo play left tackle at a very high level, but he’s also proven to be incredibly durable as he didn’t miss a start last season while playing in all 1,400 of the offense’s total snaps including playoffs.
It’s worth noting that Castonzo was already apparently really excited about getting his new deal done:
Thanks everyone and thanks to the Colts. No better place to live and play than Indy!
