The Indianapolis Colts are currently undergoing week 6 of their 8 week offseason program by holding OTA practices 4-6 this week.
We’ve heard about Phillip Dorsett, but what was already thought to be a prolific passing attack under starting quarterback Andrew Luck and a loaded group of receivers has apparently not disappointed so far in this week’s OTA’s:
Love seeing Dwayne Allen catch those throws down the seam in redzone. Just went up and grabbed one from Luck over a defender. Touchdown

TE Erik Swoope has made two diving catches today. Looks like a football player to me. #Colts

Duron Carter not letting Phillip Dorsett be the only star today at OTA's. Carter just went up over a DB and pulled in aTD.

Shades of the Pro Bowl: Hilton beats Davis deep for a TD.

Phillip Dorsett with a birthday gift for Vontae Davis easily getting past the Pro Bowler to start 11-on-11s. Also, a rest day for Frank Gore

Offense goes crazy: end around pass by Moncrief to Tipton on 3rd down works.

To be fair though, it’s rarely ever pointed out when a defender makes a great pass breakup or deflection, it’s the allowed touchdowns that are the glamorous football plays after all. That didn’t stop some Colts defenders from forcing members of the media to take notice however:
Vontae Davis wins Round 2 as Luck attempted to go back to Hilton in corner of end zone. #Colts

S Clayton Geathers has gotten a lot snaps today and nearly just made a highlight interception. Keeping an eye on this rookie. #Colts

Still, by all indications, the Colts clearly potent receiving corps is doing exactly what it was originally projected to do…
Make plays.
That's a wrap. Today's conclusion: really, really hard to cover all these passing targets.

It’s an offense that figures to torment opposing secondaries with a lot of dangerous 3, 4 wideout sets, in addition to its talented two tight end sets. Fortunately, the Colts defense isn’t going to have to actually play against this passing offense on Sundays, just in practice:
