Thanks to Caden Pierce, the Princeton Tigers will likely have the support of the Indianapolis Colts as the Tigers compete in the NCAA basketball tournament.

The NCAA’s March Madness has already started it’s second weekend of the tournament, and this year’s tournament has already been providing the madness that everyone loves. One of the underdog teams that found a way to advance to the Sweet 16 are the Princeton Tigers. Entering the tournament as the 15th seed in the South Region, Princeton advanced to the Sweet 16 by upsetting the 2-seed Arizona Wildcats in the first round, and the 7-seed Missouri Tigers in the second round.

One of the contributing players on this run for Princeton has been freshman forward Caden Pierce. Pierce has helped the Tigers win, but he’s also likely helped them earn the support of the Indianapolis Colts. The reason why is that Caden’s older brother is Colts’ receiver Alec Pierce.

Princeton’s Caden Pierce is Colts WR Alec Pierce’s brother

Alec Pierce is coming off a rookie season in the NFL with the Colts where he caught 41 passes for 593 yards and two touchdowns. Alec really impressed fans with his ability to go up over defenders and snag jump balls. Apparently, Caden has the same skillset as he consistently out jumps competitors to get rebounds for Princeton. In the Tigers’ second-round game against Missouri, Pierce recorded 16 rebounds, including seven offensive boards, helping with Princeton’s 19 second-chance points in the game.

Just like Alec, Caden is a rookie this year. He recently was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Year, and is averaging 8.3 points, 1.2 assist, and 7.4 rebounds. With his help, the Princeton Tigers are 23-8 and are still dancing in the tournament.

They’ll be trying to continue this run on Friday, March 24, when they take on the 6-seed Creighton Bluejays at 9 pm ET on TBS. With a win, Pricenton would advance to the Elite 8 as they hope for a Cinderella ending.
