The Indianapolis Colts are entering Week 3 with a 1-1 record after picking up their first win of the season in Week 2 against the Houston Texans. Ideally, Indy would want to keep things rolling and add another W in the win column. That’ll certainly be the goal entering Week 3, but the Colts are facing a tough challenge, as they’re set to go on the road and face the Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens are one of the best teams in the league, which is a challenge in itself. They have an elite quarterback in Lamar Jackson, and a tough defense, led by Roquan Smith. To make things even more challenging, the Colts are dealing with injuries to some of their key players.

Colts injury report entering Week 3

Everyone knows that rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson is still in concussion protocol and hasn’t practiced at all this week. However, he’s not alone. Center Ryan Kelly is also in concussion protocol and hasn’t been on the practice field either. The same goes for veteran guard Quenton Nelson, but he missed practice with a toe injury.

Defensively, both Kenny Moore II and Grover Stewart are on the injury report. Moore is dealing with a knee injury, and after a limited practice on Wednesday, he didn’t practice on Thursday. Stewart had two limited practices as he deals with a foot injury.

Typically, veteran players on the injury report that have limited practices or don’t practice at all, still find ways to play, as long as their injuries aren’t serious. That will probably be the case with Kenny Moore II, Quenton Nelson, and Grover Stewart. No reports have indicated that they’re dealing with something that should sideline them.

Concussion protocol, on the other hand, is an entirely different thing. The league has a very detailed process that players must advance through before returning to the field. The fact that Ryan Kelly and Anthony Richardson didn’t return to the field in time for Thursday’s practice makes it seem unlikely that they’ll play. But, like all the players on the injury report, we’ll find out their statuses in the coming days.
