In Round 6, the Colts finally go back to the offensive side of the ball. Behind Jonathan Taylor, the depth is spotty. There aren't many guys the Colts could truly count on if Taylor were to go down to injury, nor do they have that solid third down back. Missouri's Cody Schrader could come in and immediately take over that role.
This kid might be just under 5-foot-9, but he packs a punch and plays with a fire. He's a capable pass protector, which is why he could steal the third down job. He's also a fearless leader and a guy you want to play next to. Schrader is every bit of an RB2 and would flourish next to Taylor.
Five out of seven picks end up being on the defensive side of the ball, as the Colts add another safety in the seventh round. At pick no. 234, Indy snags Washington safety Dominique Hampton. While Hampton likely won't come in and steal a starting gig, he's going to give this team some more competition and depth throughout the summer months.
