Looking at the list of Colts' Hall of Famers really emphasizes just how dominant some of those early- and mid-aught Peyton Manning teams were. Manning – along with Tony Dungy, Edgerrin James, Dwight Freeney, and Marvin Harrison – put together some of the most dominant teams of their era, and it wasn't surprising to see all of them in the Hall so quickly after their retirement.

There are plenty of other deserving Colts players from both Indianapolis and Baltimore, but the Manning Era team is what really stands out among the group. Here's the full list.

As for current Colts – or guys who have recently left – that may have a chance at Canton when they retire, here are a few names to keep an eye on.

Shaquille Leonard

Through the first four years of his career, Leonard felt like a lock: he won Defensive Rookie of the Year back in 2018, and made four All Pro teams – three of them being First Team nominations. He led the league in tackles as a rookie and had 15 sacks through his first 42 games.

Then injuries got in the way, and his Colts career abruptly came to an end. He wasn't much of a factor for the Eagles in 2023, and as of now, he's a free agent who's reportedly contemplating his future in the league. He almost certainly doesn't have a big enough resume to end up in Canton, but he'll probably get a spot in the Colts' Hall of Fame sooner or later.

Quenten Nelson

Nelson's been a Day 1 starter (95 starts in 95 games) for all six years of his career, never playing in less than 13 games in any season so far. Over that stretch, he's been named to three All Pro First Teams, one All Pro Second Team, and has made the Pro Bowl every season of his career.

Six years doesn't make a Hall of Fame career, but Nelson's well on his way.
