Linebacker (6)

Roster Locks: EJ Speed, Zaire Franklin, Grady Stuard, Segun Olubi, Isiah Land, Jaylon Carlies
Practice Squad: Austin Ajiake, Liam Anderson
Roster Cuts: Cameron McGrone, Craig Young

The first two of three linebacker spots are secured with EJ Speed and Zaire Franklin. Grady Stuard was strong after the franchise released LB Shaq Leonard in mid-season and will continue in that role, but his forte is special teams. I think we could see Stuard, Olubi, Carlies and Land fighting for that last starter spot.

Cornerback (6)

Roster Locks: JuJu Brents, Kenny Moore, Jaylon Jones, Dallis Flowers, Jaylin Simpson, Micah Abraham
Practice Squad: Ameer Speed
Roster Cuts: Chris Lammons, Darrell Baker Jr

There will be some interesting decisions for this group as there are many bodies, but the talent and experience are vast. The first four are pretty much decided with Brents, Moore, Jones, and Flowers. Where do Simpson and Abraham fit in? Simpson needs some fine tuning and Abraham is more of a slot corner, so does he take the backup role behind Moore as Tony Brown did last season and how much do special teams fit in here? Lammons and Baker were inconsistent last season, and the draft pick investment seems to tip the hand that the staff is looking for some new talent infusion on this side of the ball.
