One Colts player on the roster bubble at each position
By Ryan Heckman
Defensive Line: Tyquan Lewis
The Colts only made one notable move across their defensive line during the draft, of course, taking pass rusher Laiatu Latu. He joins Samson Ebukam, Kwity Paye and Dayo Odeyingbo as the top four defensive ends on this team. Tyquan Lewis, you could argue, comes in at no. 5 in terms of depth.
The former second rounder did come up with 4.0 sacks as part of the rotation last year, but will the Colts keep five edge rushers? That's the question, here.
Linebacker: Grant Stuard
The Colts used a fifth-round pick on Jaylon Carlies out of Missouri. The rookie joins a crowded linebacker room featuring E.J. Speed, Zaire Franklin, Segun Olubi and Ronnie Harrison Jr. ahead of him. Then, there's veteran Grant Stuard, who comes in as the likely sixth linebacker in terms of depth. He'll have a tougher time making the roster if the Colts want to stick with Carlies along with the other four. Stuard's role on special teams could be taken over by the rookie.
