1. C.J. Stroud, Texans

Finally, we come to no. 1 on the list, rookie C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans. Stroud has been one of the biggest and most pleasant surprises of the season, early on. Hardly anyone would have expected Stroud to develop and perform this quickly, and at such a high level.

At the moment, Stroud is fourth in the NFL in passing yards with 1,212. That's good for a whopping 303.0 per game. He has thrown six touchdowns and has yet to throw an interception. Stroud has found early success with young receivers Nico Collins and Tank Dell, the latter of whom is a rookie as well. Both of his top two receivers have had some big games to start the season.

Stroud's leadership has been praised in a big way, too, despite being so young. He conducts himself like a veteran and treats his teammates with the utmost respect. It is safe to say the Texans found themselves a franchise quarterback, no doubt.

This weekend, Stroud will look to continue his strong start against an Atlanta Falcons defense that has allowed the fifth-fewest passing yards per game this season at 176.2. If he has yet another strong game, the hype surrounding Stroud may grow out of control.
